Guillermo Haro was a very remarkable Mexican thinker and is very famous for his significant contributions to the study of astronomy. And "one of the discoverers of the Herbig-Haro objects, and the man behind several studies in the stars, stellar objects, galaxies, blue and many others. In addition, it was for his influence on the development and growth in other areas of science Technology and praised in his country. Although it is well known in the field of astronomy,Haro is the first professional study of philosophy at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

His passion for astronomy has contributed significantly to the development and creation of major research institutes in Mexico today. His service to the improvisation of astronomy in Mexico began during his tenure as director of the Institute for Astronomical and Astrophysical Observatory, UNAM de Tonantzintla in the fifties and sixties. In1972, the INAO, the next Tonantzintla Observatory was founded, and became its first director. During this time, a strong promotion of optics and electronics fields, paving the way for the creation of an institute for young graduates from abroad, paved capital for the first time that has happened in the history of science and technological research in Mexico. Guillermo Haro was a member of the prestigious National College in early 1953. He has also co-founder of La Academia de la Investigacion Cientifica.
